Vaccination certificates,
your pet should have had a booster or primary vaccine within the twelve
months prior to boarding.
It is part of our licensing laws that we only take vaccinated pets.
Cat carrier for cats and small pets, please do
not carry them in your arms they can easily be frightened and run away.
Dogs on a lead please, we don't use them but they
are needed on each gate for emergencies.
Medication, this must be clearly labelled with the
dogs full name and dosage.
On arrival your pet will
be checked in, your details confirmed, vaccinations logged, emergency
numbers taken then your pet will be taken through to the kennels to begin
their holiday, all the items (luggage) that you bring will be written on the
kennel card so we can track them throughout the visit.
You will say goodbye in the reception area so your
dog can be placed in its kennel with the minimum noise from its neighbours,
new human visitors to the kennels always causes a disruption ! Cats can be
left in reception for our staff to take up to the cattery for settling in
,however if you would like to go up with them that is perfectly ok unless it
is an extremely busy or inconvenient time of day.
Food, we will have asked
you what your pets food requirements are when booking and decided whether
you need to bring your own or if your dog is having our food, we do keep
most main brands in stock.
Bedding, we have a huge
amount of bedding and wash every day so it isn't necessary for you to bring
your own but if you do wish to bring something that is familiar to your pet
that is absolutely fine.
Toys, we do have a box
full of toys to keep pets happy if they want to play but you can bring some
of your pets own toys if you wish,(no more than 5 though please)
Brushes, if you want to
send your own brush or comb that is ok but we do have a lot of grooming
equipment here.
Not-a-good-idea items ;-
Dishes, steel ones get put
in with our own and pot ones get broken, plastic get chewed and we can lose
them too easily, its just a lot easier for us to use our own
and it standardises food amounts also.
Favourite Bedding and Toys,
we do our best to look after your pets `luggage` but sometimes things go
astray and although most of them turn up eventually it can be distressing
for everyone if they are lost for good. We do not guarantee to return
everything you bring.
Anything of any value, be
it monetary or sentimental because of the large amount of items we are
holding at any one time they can be lost or misplaced within the system.
Real Bones, it is not
company policy to give pets real bones, in our experience they can cause
huge problems.
Unsuitable feeding items.
ie. pork pies, kit-kats, left over meals, coffee & tea ( yes we really have
had all these brought in )
We always assume that all clients have been to
view the facilities prior to booking but if you would like to view
whether you are a new or old client we would be pleased to show you our
facilities, in fact we are proud to show people round as we spend a great
deal of time and money improving our services and premises every year.
Viewing times are 2 to 4 every day
